Metro Atlanta Animal Shelter & Rescue Secures Donation for New Van

ATLANTA – NASCAR driver Brandon Brown and new cryptocurrency Baby Dodge Coin donated $ 20,000 to an Atlanta subway animal rescue and shelter for a new van at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday.

Furkids Animal Rescue & Shelters now has a new van for its “TransFur” program.

The nonprofit works to place homeless animals in the south and transport the animals north to homes for adoption.

“Northern states have a greater demand for adoptable pets than available animals,” according to a statement.

Since 2018, Furkids has transported 3,000 homeless animals to Georgia.

To meet growing demand, Furkids said the new pickup would come in handy.

Baby Doge Coin, the world’s first dog charity cryptocurrency, has teamed up with the NASCAR pilot to present a check for the animal rescue van.

“Baby Doge Coin is a brand new cryptocurrency with a unique purpose; to save as many dogs as possible, ”Brandon Brown said in a statement. “Since their debut in June 2021, they have donated nearly $ 100,000 to help save dogs and are considered the world’s first charitable dog cryptocurrency. My team and I are proud to join the Furkids campaign to match homeless southern animals with loving adopters in northern homes. ”

This season, Brown # 68 drives a Chevy Camaro and sports the Animal Rescue logo.

“Our partners in the No-Kill Rescue organizations in the northern states have welcomed our dogs and cats with open arms. Some animals have been adopted as they were unloaded from TransFur vans,” said Furkids CEO Samantha Shelton. “There is more demand in the North for animals, and we can meet that demand with more vans to drive more animals to homes forever. It makes us immensely grateful to Baby Doge Coin and Brandon Brown and his team to join our desire to change the lives of animals and the humans who love them.
