Abused dog left at Papillion shelter with an anonymous note from the Great Samaritan

PAPILLION, Neb. (WOWT) – Another case of animal abuse in the Omaha metro. This is the second 6 News met last month, giving two dogs the chance to be alive thanks to caring people.

BeeBop has a baritone bark and his life a real low note.

“She has traumatic brain injuries and physical injuries that haven’t healed well,” Chelsea Hoyle said.

Volunteer Chelsea Hoyle with Rescue from muddy paws says the English Bulldog mix was left in a shelter deposit cage with a note only signed “humans.” This implies that someone knew the condition of the dog and saved him.

“Whoever this great Samaritan woman is, we are so grateful that you saved her and once you realize you can’t give her more than you can, we’re here to step in,” Hoyle said.

The anonymous note mentions damage to the server’s brain, but how bad. This is why BeeBop is brought to Papillion veterinary clinic.

A review by Dr Mike Rukstalis reveals that BeeBop may have been bred to be more than just a pet.

“She certainly has signs that she may have been in a dog fight and if it was on purpose I don’t know,” Dr Ruktalis said.

BeeBop’s next appointment will be with a veterinary neurologist.

“And she’s extremely lucky to have found her way to Muddy Paws. There aren’t many groups that are willing to invest that kind of money because it’s an expensive proposition to get that kind of care, ”said Dr Ruktalis.

Often times, to save abused animals like BeeBop, it takes people who are bulldogs to raise money for veterinary care. Another dog rescued from abuse is on the road to recovery.

Do you remember Maya? She was found alive in a dirty, locked kennel in a Fremont home weighing just 15 pounds.

She went from a vet clinic to a foster home and gained over 10 pounds. Its owner has a felony court date later in October.
