15th Annual West Michigan Pet Show at the Deltaplex

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – This is the largest adoption event filled with lots of fun, furry animals. The 15th annual West Michigan Pet Expo kicked off Saturday at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids.

Organizers say that while it’s a good time, it’s for an even greater cause.

“Huge adoption area with dogs, cats and puppies,” Mac said of Mac and Shmitty in the Morning on 105.7.

Many pets were on hand ready to be adopted and placed with their forever homes and families.

“Well, adopting pets is something we’re very big on. We just want to make sure we get as many pets as possible into a fantastic home,” Mac said.

While families search for their new family friend, they can also enjoy tons of entertainment, including a petting zoo, pony rides, and even live entertainment with the Canine Star Stunt Dog Show, seen on “America’s Got Talent” last season.

Once families have found their perfect match, on-site adoption is available at animal shelters and shelters, which will guide you through the process of adopting a pet.

“They deserve so much love. They deserve to have beautiful homes. And so we’re just happy to be able to play a small part in that,” Mac said.

Sunday March 27 is the last day of the pet show. You can stop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids 4 and under attend for free, kids 12 and under get in for $6, and adult tickets are $12.
