NSALA News: Wisdom Panel just launched their Wisdom Panel Complete For Cats – it’s a DNA test kit (they already had one for dogs.) Throughout June (National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month), Wisdom Panel partners with North Shore Animal League America. All adoption costs for kittens and cats will be covered by Wisdom Panel (for approved adopters). Additionally, Wisdom Panel donates $ 1 per kit sold to the North Shore Animal League America.
Eritrea, 10 months old (Adoption # BF3774) has had an unsuccessful start to life, but he is very happy to put that behind him and look forward to his future with all the enthusiasm that an older kitten should have. While this precious mini-panther can run around and play with feline friends all day, he still works to trust his human companions. A household with children 12 and over, with experienced adults, will show him everything he needs to know to be part of a family. We have witnessed such growth in our boyfriend’s house before and are so excited to know what awaits him in his first safe home!
Despite a rough start to life, three-year-old Roz (Adoption # E3401) shows everyone how much of a survivor she is. This reserved calico feels the safest around his feline friends, but from this cozy place his heart opens up to the prospect of being loved by human friends as well. Nothing makes her happier than long sessions of cuddling, so we are looking for a family who will welcome her with another who will be her best friend who will make her transition to her first safe home a success. ** Senior Alert ** Parker is a ten year old male Chihuahua Mix who came to the animal shelter after losing his beloved former owner to the COVID-19 virus. Parker loves meeting new friends, going for walks, snuggling and snacking. Parker didn’t learn good manners when he was younger, which led him to develop an aggressiveness towards food and toys and a habit of keeping things he perceives as “his own.” He needs an adult-only home that is comfortable handling this and implementing strict rules and structure; while understanding that Parker is 100% worth it. Parker has blood pressure and vision issues, and he needs an experienced owner who is willing to go the extra mile despite these challenges. This poor boy has been through a lot in his life and needs a lasting home that will not abandon him.
