New owners of animal shelter want to give it a fresh start
The new owners of an animal shelter in Howard County aim to give it a fresh start. Their efforts come after county police shut down the Animal Welfare Society of Howard County in 2019, taking more than 100 animals from poor conditions. Now a new team wants to not only rebuild animal rescue, but rebuild their trust within the community. Organizers held an open house on Saturday for the public to view the conditions on the property and organize a fundraiser.
