Volunteer in the gift shop! Volunteers are needed at Marshfield Medical Center – Weston. A service opportunity to support gift shop staff and visitors may be the perfect fit for you! Offer advice regarding product options to visitors and staff looking to lift the spirits of a loved one or treat themselves, provide a pleasant environment, facilitate accurate transactions, assist with product labels, maintain the display and support open/close functions. Receptionists wanted at McLit. I would love to have a cheerful and friendly volunteer patient to greet people, direct them to the service they are using, and help with office work. Possibility of doing a half day or a full day. (9-4pm) The Marathon County Literacy Council is located on Third Street in downtown Wausau. Contact Connie at 715-679-6170 or email [email protected].

Volunteer in palliative care. Aspirus volunteers are men and women ages 14 and up, each with unique gifts and talents. Aspirus offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit everyone’s interests and schedule, including direct visitation with hospice patients and their families in the Marathon County area and beyond. In-Kind donated items needed

Bed linen, towels and pillows. The women’s community is looking for new pillows, full sheet sets, towel sets and washcloths. Donations can be dropped off at the MF between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 3220 Hilltop Ave. in Wausau. Contact Allie at [email protected] or 715-842-5663.

Large dog kennel. The NCHC needs a large kennel to house a black lab for a client. He is a service animal and has outgrown the client’s current kennel. If you have one to donate, contact the North Central Health Care Volunteer Office at 715-848-4450 or email [email protected].
