Local Woman, Animal Rescue Group Offers $ 300 Reward For Missing Pit Bull | Local

POCATELLO – Local woman and nonprofit animal rescue organization offer $ 300 reward for safe return of pit bull who went missing after crash on Interstate 15 in Pocatello this week last.

A 3-year-old white pit bull named Alithea went missing after the single vehicle crash, which happened shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday last week.

Police said Abigail Rhoads, 29, of Pocatello, was heading north in a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser when she pulled off the road and entered the median near mile 68. Her vehicle then rolled away.

Rhoads was transported by land ambulance to the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello after the accident. Authorities say she was treated and released.

Rhoads says several people have spotted Alithea, who might respond to “Moonbug,” in the area of Interstate 15 between Exits 68 and 69 around ON Semiconductor and the Eames complex at Idaho State University.

Rhoads says she placed Alithea’s bed and blankets behind the Eames complex in an attempt to get Alithea away from the Interstate 15 area.
