Heart of Minnesota Animal Center Binks

He’s our Binks, and he’s an almost 5-year-old short-haired black domestic guy. He is sturdy, friendly, assertive and playful. When he’s exercising, he loves to run around and say hello to everyone. He is hilarious.

He may not be the Channing Tatum of our felines, but he is striking. Binks loves to strut around. Seems to tolerate other cats. He had a few allergies, so a special diet is recommended.

Ruff Start Dog & Cat Rescue – Dutch

My name is Dutchess and I’m the nicest girl in the whole country. Like most royalty, I love being the center of attention and getting all the heart-eye emojis. I came to Ruff Start underweight, so I’ve been trying to get healthy by enjoying all the delicious food I can. I’m going to be 100% honest here and say I really don’t mind. In fact, it might be my favorite thing.

I currently live with two adoptive canine siblings and am getting used to the good life. I haven’t figured out toys or bones yet, but it might take a little while for my playful side to shine. I am potty trained (barring an accident or two) and crate trained. I sleep in my crate when my host family leaves and at night and am a well behaved girl. I showed no signs of destructive tendencies.

I know we just met, but do you think I could be royalty in your life too? For more information about Dutchess, or how to adopt, visit www.ruffstarterescue.org.

Oranda is an adorable 2-year-old girl. She can be a bit shy but would love to live with another cat. She comes out of her shell more with cats, but dogs aren’t something she wants to be friends with. Looking out the window and a cat tower are his favorite things. She is very affectionate and can accept being detained for very short periods of time. for more information on this beauty, or to learn more about becoming her forever home, please click Click here.

Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARCH) – Katie

Katie is like having a puppy, except she’s potty trained and sleeps through the night.
She is cheerful, friendly, playful, energetic and curious. These last three traits sometimes make her enter
problem because she needs help to learn her limits. She’ll grab whatever she can to entice you to play because it’s so much fun to have you chasing after her! But if you can get her to rest on your lap after she relaxes, her softness will melt you!

Katie would benefit from another dog at home to help her replenish her energy, but she
doesn’t like to share toys. She would rather have a human friend who can be a bit
homebody because she doesn’t like to go to her kennel and if left alone, she can do some mischief.
Katie is fine with other dogs to play with, but she thinks kittens can be good
squeaky toys will therefore have to go to a cat-free home.

Tri-County Animal Shelter Axel

Axel is a one-year-old male guinea pig who is currently single, but pigs are generally social creatures, so maybe he could be paired up with another lonely pig (all introductions to new pets from company should be slow and proper.) the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe for supplies to get you started with a guinea pig.

Underdog Pet Rescue of MN – barlow

Hello everyone! I am Barlow! I will make you laugh but I will also definitely keep you on your toes! My siblings and I were sadly raised alone in a dark shed. Fortunately, we were rescued almost two weeks ago. Since then, I have learned a lot!

I’m a growing puppy and haven’t had much experience with crates or kids or cats yet and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hope for a family that will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build my confidence and canine skills. Ideally, my forever home should be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3-4 hours.

If you are looking for a best friend, please complete the puppy application in click here. The more information you include on the app, the better I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready!

Minnesota’s Pet Haven – pearl

Pearl is a beautiful, silly, talkative, affectionate and full of energy one year old puppy! She likes to walk and play in the fenced yard. If there is no fenced yard, she will need to be on a leash because she loves to run and run and run! Pearl absolutely LOVES her humans but needs time to get to know new people. She tends to warm up faster with women, but once you gain her trust, you’re one of her favorites.

Pearl is crate trained; however, since she is noisy when bored in her cage, she should not live in an apartment or house with shared walls. 61-pound Pearl is also working on sharing her toys, but currently doesn’t like when they’re taken away. For this reason, we recommend that if there are children in the home, they should be over 12 years old and familiar with dogs. Pearl has done well with large male dogs that have the same energetic playstyle as her and let her be the boss. She probably wouldn’t do well in a home with small dogs, cats, or small critters.

Pearl is an amazing pup and is learning to trust and enjoy life to the fullest. She can’t wait to find her forever home that will give her the stability she dreams of, the space to exercise, and the love she deserves.
