“It’s like a national park – everything is clear and full of natural beauty.” These are the words of the current owner of 3390 Pannell Lane and they could not ring truer. This 11.81 acre estate has a main residence and … nine outbuildings in total in its totally open landscape. And, yes you read that correctly, nine dependencies in total (and more on those in a moment)!

What really makes this area is the land. Bordered by Mountain Run Creek on three sides, the Civil War Mine Run Battle took place on and around the property. Today, you can still find Civil War relics on site, including a cannon slot and more. Throughout the property’s history it has been the site of anti-moon mining and numerous gold mining operations in the creek itself.

Dotting the property are bright pink flowering dogwoods, wildflowers, bur oaks and towering hardwoods. It is not uncommon to be visited by bald eagles, great blue herons, white herons and many other wonders of nature. For hunters, turkey and deer visit frequently and you can certainly catch smaller fish in the stream.

Let’s take a look at these outbuildings, all of them a beautiful tan with a green roof. Perhaps the most eye-catching is the desk, which features a bay window, pine chair railing, pine ceiling, and a solid wood executive desk. Nearby is the “secretary’s office” as well as a workshop complete with its own electrical and light installation. Continuing with the tour of the outbuildings, the farm building is absolutely huge, with 26x30ft open space and a vibrant animal section for grooming, exercise, and more.

Additional outbuildings include a one-car garage, thermo-constant kennel (there are 20 tracks in this kennel!) Carport structure; and dry / tight storage shed. You just have to see and explore these addictions to believe them!

The main house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and spans over 1,400 square feet. Over the past five years the house has had a new roof, windows and a water heater. The house itself was built from stones collected on the property! Before entering inside, appreciate the fountain at the front as well as the terrace which runs the length of the house. The anchor of the hiker-style house is a dining / living room, dining area and kitchen. At the rear of the house is a glass patio door giving access to the veranda. The breakfast area and the kitchen were renovated with new flooring last year. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with tub-shower combo. The house is served by a well fed by a spring which, according to the owner, is “absolutely delicious”.

While certainly an outdoor paradise, 3390 Pannell Lane is close to all that the area has to offer. The historic downtowns of Culpeper and Orange are within 25 minutes and downtown Fredericksburg is approximately 45 km to the east. For daily needs, there are market options about 10 minutes south as well as grocery, dining and dining selections 25 minutes northwest of Culpeper.

“Living in the midst of nature like this is amazing… it feels like a Swiss chalet and the stunning scenery in it is unlike any other,” says the current owner of 3390 Pannell Lane. This home is designed for quiet living and outdoor entertainment like few others in our area. Book your session today!
