Dog Nobody Wants to Bring Home Spends Hours Crying Alone in Kennel

Little Juice spent hours crying alone in his kennel because he couldn’t cope with shelter life – but luckily an owner opened his home and his heart to him before he sank into a deep depression.

He couldn’t face the shelter life

After seeing all his playmates leave with their new owners, this poor pooch quickly realized that no one wanted him.

Juice spent 10 long months at the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Maryland, America before anyone gave him a glance.

He spent hours crying alone in his kennel – and began to “lose himself” from the stresses of shelter life.

A spokesperson said: “For a long time, Juice was the example we used as a dog who could handle the stresses of shelter life without breaking down.

“But over the last month that has changed – he has started to lose confidence.

“Then he was adopted and we jumped for joy. But it wasn’t the right match, and after a few days he was back in his kennel, more stressed than ever.

He spent hours crying in his kennel

“Staff started noticing him crying, gasping and pacing more often.

“A member of our staff took him home for a sleepover to give him a break from the shelter and try to help him relax.

“But when she brought him back in the morning and put him back in the kennel, he started crying and hasn’t stopped all day.

“Living in a shelter is no life, and we’re afraid Juice is starting to get lost.”

In a desperate attempt to bring Juice home, the rescue team shared a heartbreaking plea on Facebook asking someone to open their hearts and homes to the unwanted dog.

Jus after being adopted

The repatriation appeal reads: “This is a story about Juice: a cuddly, loving, giant-headed idiot who has been at the shelter for almost 10 months.

“And Juice really, really needs your help…

“He needs a home where he can be himself and regain the confidence he lost.

“He needs a family that will give him time and patience. We know he will return that kindness with incredible loyalty and endless hugs.

“Please don’t leave Juice crying in his kennel anymore. Help us find him a home.”

Within hours, the shelter was inundated with applications for the poor pooch – and he was matched with his new owners days later.

“Thank you all for your shares and your prayers for Juice,” the spokesperson added.

“We have received hundreds of calls, emails and messages from people across the country and around the world about our boy.

“He was adopted days later by an amazing couple who decided to add Juice to their family.

“Now, almost four months later, he’s living the good life. He’s lost some of his extra weight, loves his Hulk t-shirt, and is going to learn how to do pull-ups (dog sports).”
