Heart of Minnesota Animal Center Bear

Please say hello to Bear, a 4 year old sweet soul. This is a beautiful white Siamese cross / seal stitch, DSH. He is neutered, healthy, and ready for you. He is IVF positive. We have been revisiting Bear since returning from a fantastic host family. They discovered a spectacular family cat, giving it time to adjust to their home. He reacted very well with mum and bonded particularly with dad. Loved the whole family and the kids ages 3-11. The bear has also bonded with the family’s large dog. They said the dog and the bear adore each other.

The bear must be the only cat or if other cats are also FIV positive. He is healthy. The family should be committed to maintaining a strong immune system with semi-annual wellness checks, indoors only, and a nutrient-dense diet. The bear can live a long and comfortable life.

Ruff Start Dog & Cat Rescue – Westie

Hi, my name is Westie (aka Bubba) and I have spent the past eight years depriving myself of all the wonderful things like comfy beds, walks, nudges, cuddles and toys. For most of my life I have been kept for breeding and nothing else. To say the least… it was miserable. Fortunately, Ruff Start found me and I finally could understand why my fellows love humans so much. You can all be very good!

I can’t wait to learn all the things I missed, and my host family has done a great job teaching me so far! I am learning to potty outside and to walk on a leash. They tell me that my new family will come for me soon and that they are very patient and kind to a quiet house as the noises and a lot of commotion really overwhelms me. Hope they show me the rest of the good things that life has to offer because I know there is more!

Westie is an 8 year old, 12 pound West Highland White Terrier Westie / Terrier mix. For more information about Westie and how to adopt, visit www.ruffstartrescue.org.

Hawk Creek Animal Shelter – Megaman & Dill

Megaman & Dill came from two separate homes, but we were able to tie them together. It is always best to have guinea pigs in pairs. They are both boys and both around 2 years old. Megaman is black and orange and dill is tan, orange and white. These sweet guinea pigs are fine with the outfit and love to run together. Vegetables including, but not limited to lettuce (romaine and green in particular), cucumbers, and parsley are favorites. They love to nibble on their hay! Time spent on the floor is a great way for them to exercise. A good cuddle session and a nudge in the neck is a great way for these two boys to relax.

Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARCH) – Raymond

It’s Raymond- with his coat of many colors! He’s a handsome boy with real eyelashes – yes,
eyelashes !!! you have to see them to believe it!

He loves to play with other dogs and currently lives with 3 other dogs. It would be great as a solo pet or
with other dogs. It takes a while to open up, but this guy is very loyal and doesn’t want to miss
action, so once he trusts you he will follow you everywhere! He likes naps and doesn’t seem to
pay attention to its niche.

Raymond is a silly boy who will bend over you and run around in circles for endless scratches (and probably
try to remove the lap belt!). He does well on a leash and loves walks! All in all a good dog and a
happy little guy. To meet Raymond click here! to apply today!

Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART) – Niko

Sweet Niko is a 5 year old Lab / Shepherd X who loves to play outside. He appears to be clean and is not disturbed by other dogs. He would like a house that allows him to enjoy the sun outside but also to lie on the sofa. You can view his adoption profile online at hartpets.org, call the shelter for more information at (218) 829-4141 or visit him in person at 15494 Dellwood Drive, Brainerd MN 56401 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. h 30.

Tri-County Animal Shelter Tatum

Search your hypothetical dictionary for “stereotypical cat” and you’ll see a picture of Tatum. This 5 year old sterilized cat is a very independent and sometimes shy feline who wants attention on her terms. (“Don’t hold me back, please – and you have to submit a petition request! I’ll review them at my leisure.”) She probably would do better in a quieter house. Once she warms up with you, she’s adept at scratching her head and ears. Tatum is overweight at over 13 pounds, so his new home will need to help him get on the path to better health. (Think about controlled portions and plenty of exercise – time to invest in a laser pointer!) Tatum would qualify for our Fabulous Feline Dollar Feline promotion and his fees would be waived completely for a senior or veteran.

MN’s Underdog Pet Rescue Lettie

Welcome to the adoptable dogs page, Lettie!

The gorgeous Lettie the Boxer was born on 10/31/14 and weighs around 50 pounds. Now that her breeding days are over, she is looking for a forever patient and loving home with another dog and a fenced yard.
She loves peanut butter, smelling the fresh air outside and relaxing in her kennel. Loud noises and a lot of commotion are a bit overwhelming for her, so she would like a quieter, slower house. She loves being petted by humans in her foster home, although men can still scare her, but she works her confidence every day!

Pet Haven from Minnesota – Cute

Meet Ducky! A 6 year old, 7 ½ pound Chihuahua who is the perfect mix of play and cuddles. Much like its namesake “Land Before Time”, Ducky is brave, bubbly, and ready to explore. He loves playing search with his dinosaur friends and hiding under the covers when it’s time to relax.

Other Dogs: Ducky currently lives with other Chihuahuas but needs to be slowly introduced with new dogs. He’s met some big dogs and, well, they’re not his close favorites. While he can live with a dog his size, he would love to be your one and only spoiled boy too! When it comes to cats, Ducky may be okay with slow introductions to a playful, patient feline, but he doesn’t understand the feline language for “go.” Ducky would be best in a home without children or with children over 14 who know dogs. Ducky enjoys playing with his mouth and has learned what is acceptable.

His hobbies are hopping like a jackalope, sunbathing, running dinosaurs outside, snuggling, eating any food. Ducky is trained at the pot and the cash register. He often hangs in his crate and loves it! Ducky also sleeps through the night without needing to go out. He had a first session with a trainer to help him learn that foreigners are okay (especially men). He needs someone to stand up for him. Although Ducky isn’t a huge fan of weird men, he adores his foster dad and warms up quickly with treats!

Ducky is the best boy. He loves his humans and his favorite place is cuddled in his lap. Be prepared to fall head over heels in love!
