BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Thanks to an incredible partnership with many of our local businesses, effective immediately, all adoptions at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center are free.

That’s right, thanks to AJ Hiers of Boniface-Hiers Automotive; Scott Glover, Bill Orndorf, Ed Flanagan of Glover Orndorf & Flanagan Wealth Management; and Shawn Beck of Jack’s Wrecker Service, every dog and cat adoption from our Animal Care Center is now free.

Free adoption includes a free microchip, all vaccinations, county licensing fees, a free wellness exam at one of our local veterinary partners – and 30 days of free medical insurance for your pet .

While I know some are concerned about the concept of free adoptions, I want to reassure everyone that this new initiative does not change our protocols or policies for vetting potential adopters in any way, as our primary goal is to ensure that each animal finds a safe. and happy “always” at home in our community.

SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: Since 2014, when the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office took over animal services in Brevard County, AJ Hiers of Boniface Hiers Automotive Group, left, has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to feed all the animals in our care. (BCSO picture)

So right now when you visit our pet care center to adopt a dog or cat, our team will review the adoption record completed by the potential adopter and then once approved, you and the brand new pet of your family can go to the local pet store. where you can use the money you saved on adoption and microchipping fees to buy them food, toys and treats to help make their new home the best ever.

You know, I always say “it takes a community to protect a community” and this new initiative which is entirely funded by AJ Hiers of Boniface-Hiers Automotive; Scott Glover, Bill Orndorf and Ed Flanagan of Glover Orndorf & Flanagan Wealth Management; and Shawn Beck of Jack’s Wrecker Service is a perfect example of how true that statement is.

Please join me in thanking them for their very generous donation of over $10,000 to help ensure that every homeless animal in our community finds a “Furever” home.

Ed Flanagan, Scott Glover and Bill Orndorf of Glover Orndorf & Flanagan Wealth Management.
