Once each animal has passed a health check, it will be available for adoption through the HSMO and the Missouri Animal Welfare Association (APA). Partnering with other shelters, such as the Missouri APA, helps rescued animals be adopted as quickly as possible.

“The situation in Kentucky is dire,” said HSMO President Kathy Warnick. “By transporting these refuge animals to Saint-Louis, we free up precious space and resources on the ground, while giving these animals the possibility of finding a home forever.” ”
