Adopt a Pet of the Week: Thorn

Submitted by Adopt-A-Pet

Meet Thorn! He’s a 55-pound, 11-month-old pit bull. Thorn has a beautiful caramel brindle coat, amber eyes and a very melancholy face.

Thorn is a strong young dog looking for an active family. He wants to please, learns basic commands, leash manners, and his new family will have to continue his training. Thorn sits and waits to receive his meals, and when he comes out of his kennel. He loves other dogs and misses playing with his already adopted sister Rose. Thorn is sweet, affectionate, drives well and looks forward to new adventures! A secure fenced yard is necessary to keep him safe and happy.

If you have any further questions, email is the only way to communicate at this time. We all care about the health of our two-legged caregivers and the community at large, so we are temporarily suspending our hours of operation to the public as a precaution. We always accept email inquiries and applications, and will get back to you as soon as we can. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time! Stay well!

Adopt-A-Pet has many great dogs and is always in need of volunteers. To view all of our current dogs, visit the Adopt-A-Pet website, our Facebook page or at the shelter on Jensen Road in Shelton. For more information, email [email protected] or call 360.432.3091.

Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
